Default Hard Drive Failure Sounds

These links are provided for informational use only. One of our CTH HiJack Helper Trainees (SHO-DAN) has provided them.

If your hard drive is making noise, first backup as much data as you can.

The following hard drive sounds could indicate a particular problem with your hard drive:

Slow_Spindle_Motor

Head_Stuck_To_Platter

Head_Damage_1.

Head_Damage_2.

Head_Damage_3.

Head_Damage_4

If yours sounds like any of the above, or making any kind of noise you don't reconize; immediately back up data, and post here in the hardware forum for any further information or advise.

Thanks again to SHO-DAN for providing the links.
